Fernhill 16U GirlsCoach Okafor's notes on Kenzie since the last update
Wed Sep 23

Kenzie, serve receive was solid tonight. Platform's nice and quiet, she's angling it to target instead of swinging her arms. Approach is slow though, it's a lazy three-step, there's no burst on the last two.

Kenzie is hitting everything angle. Every single ball. The blockers know it. She needs to show me she can take it line.

Fri Oct 2

Great transition today from Kenzie, she got off the net and opened up fast after the block, gave the setter an option every time. Her blocking hands though, she's reaching instead of pressing over, balls are going straight down between her and the net.

Kenzie was rolling her eyes on the bench after getting subbed. Not okay. She's a leader on this team whether she likes it or not.

Wed Oct 7

Kenzie hit line twice in the scrimmage, off the high ball. Nice. Approach still needs that explosive last two steps.

Serve receive was great again, three perfect passes in a row in the passing drill.
